Happy Fall Y’all!

Here’s the proposed net schedule for Q4 2023.  If anyone has any conflicts (i.e. – you’ll be out of town, working, or are otherwise unavailable), please reply to this message, or email us at aec@mcares.net This will let myself, Randy and Mike all know so we can adjust the schedule accordingly.  Remember, our goal is to ensure everyone capable is trained to function as both NCS and Logger in the event of an actual activation.  As such, we are trying to see that as many Monroe County ARES members as possible have the opportunity to train in the operation of and function in both of those roles.

We have added new members into the rotation.  Please don’t panic!  We will help you through both aspects of acting as NCS as well as the Logger.  We will be reintroducing information at the upcoming in-person meeting, offering a Zoom training meeting, providing one-on-one opportunities, and as always providing backup support, should any ARES member need assistance.  Remember, the EC and AEC’s are here to help you.  If there is EVER a question or concern, please reach out to us!

As the holidays approach, we want to ensure all MCARES members have the opportunity to spend time with their families.  As such, going forward the net will be QRT during the holiday weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, as well as New Years in 2024!  The calendar for this quarter reflects that change, and it will continue into the new year.  In addition, if there is an activation or deployment, whether for a pre-planned event, or an actual emergency, the net can and will be precluded.

An updated Preamble and Net List will be coming out this week, pending approval!  There are other exciting additions and events coming in the future… so stay tuned!

As always, this schedule is subject to change should the need arise.
