No foolin’… Monroe County ARES had a wonderful lunch on April 1st at Ya Rona Pizza. We even got our server to get in the pictures with us!
Topics discussed included the upcoming Casa Monroe Superhero 5k, coming up on April 15th. Volunteers are still needed to assist. This will be the second year we have participated in this wonderful event held in Madisonville to help kids in need.
We also discussed the upcoming Cherohala Challenge. Coming up on June 3rd, this is a major even that requires mutual assistance from multiple ARES groups and clubs in both Tennessee and North Carolina.
Our next monthly meeting will be May 6th. The venue is still TBD. Check back often for updates, or check into the weekly net for announcements!
