UPCOMING EVENT:
- CASA Monroe Superhero 5k – April 25, 2026 This is a super fun event and great for new operators or those looking to gain more experience in a laid back environment. There are typically ~100 participants of all ages who run/walk this event. Our role is to staff checkpoints and turns in the course, provide participant accountability and report information to/from race directors among other tasks. - Field Day June 27-28, 2026 Location TBD. For more information about Field Day, visit the ARRL Field Day event page.
- Cherokee Ultra 70k/130k – July 18-19, 2026 Very large and very long (~27 hours) event with lots of moving parts. Please consider volunteering to man an aid station or net control. This is a very fun but demanding event. Opportunities to be stationed in remote locations and put your off-grid operating skills to the test. If you have a friend who would like to help out and isn’t licensed, they are welcome too, as long as a there is a licensed amateur at each station during the event.
- Campfire MInistries River Float – July 25, 2026 Fun and laid back event providing river overwatch for local youth groups enjoying a day on the river. Opportunities for canoe-borne operators as well as stationary river-borne ops. Enjoy a day in a private section of the Tellico River capped off with a meal compliments of the hosts. Waterproof/resistant radio or cheap radio recommended in case you or your equipment goes for an unplanned swim.
