| Things are happening within the 8th district here in East Tennessee. I would like to welcome Scott (Hyde) Satterfield WX4HYD as the new County EC for Grainger. Charles (Chuck) Kohlmeyer WB4CD is our new EC for Campbell County. Thank you in advance for your help in preparing your communities if emergency communications are required. We still have some EC vacancies to fill in Cocke, Morgan and Union Counties. Let us know if you have someone in mind that would be will to serve. As our district covers 16 counties, we have enlisted the help of Mike Wagner – KK6OKU and Dale Knight – AB4DK as they will be serving as Assistant District Emergency Coordinators. Mike will be focusing on supporting ARES activities in a four-county area: Blount, Loudon, Monroe, and Roane while Dale will be supporting Cocke, Jefferson, Knox and Sevier counties. Our goal is to add two more ADECs to provide similar coverage to the remaining counties. For now Bill KF4TY will be supporting the other eight counties.
